Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, whether it’s a set of luxurious Bed Sheets, a practical Cube Storage unit, or a statement piece of Bathroom Furniture. If an item isn’t quite right, our dedicated Cambridge-based team is here to help.

  • Condition: Items must be unused, in original packaging, and with all tags attached.
  • Process: Initiate your return via email. A returns authorisation (RAN) is required before sending anything back.
  • Refunds: Issued to the original payment method within 14 business days of us receiving the returned item.
  • Exchanges: Subject to product availability. For the fastest service, we recommend returning the original item and placing a new order.

⚠️ Important: Non-Returnable Items

To maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety for all our customers, the following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Bedding Protectors (due to their intimate use and hygiene considerations).
  • Bath Mats (for similar hygiene reasons once the packaging is opened).

All other items across our Bedding, Furniture, Rugs, Storage, Bathroom Accessories, Blinds, and Curtains collections are eligible for return within the 15-day window, provided they meet the condition criteria above.

Our Step-by-Step Returns & Exchanges Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Request

Within 15 days of receiving your order, please email our customer service team at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Subject: Return/Exchange Request – Order #[Your Order Number]
  • Your full name and shipping address.
  • Order number and the name of the product(s) you wish to return/exchange.
  • Reason for the return/exchange.
  • For exchanges: specify the desired new product name and SKU/code if known.
  • Confirm that the item(s) are unused, in original packaging, with all tags attached.

Step 2: Await Authorisation & Instructions

Our team will review your request and respond within 2 business days with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) and detailed instructions on where to send the item. Please do not ship any items back without this authorisation.

Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return

Securely package the item(s) in their original packaging, if possible. Include a copy of your order confirmation or the RAN inside the package. Ship it to the address we provide.

Please note: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless the return is due to our error or a faulty item. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. Habitat Store is not liable for items lost in transit back to us.

Step 4: Refund or Exchange Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your request.

  • Refunds: The refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal). Please allow up to 14 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution’s processing times.
  • Exchanges: If the requested item is in stock, we will ship it to you with tracking details. If it is out of stock, we will issue a refund and notify you immediately.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged or is defective, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement, refund, or repair at no cost to you, including covering the return shipping.
