Perhaps the most iconic shoe ever to come out of US culture, Converse’s Chuck Taylor is instantly recognisable and seamlessly transcends boundaries between the mainstream and subcultures. The shoe has changed very little since its 1917 inception, in fact the 1970s version, shown here, features only simple tweaks to make it longer lasting and more comfortable.
